Cheap Waikiki Beach Honolulu Hotels


On the southern shore of the Hawaiian island of Oahu is Waikiki Beach, a two-mile stretch of land that offers beautiful sands and pristine waters. Southeast of Honolulu, Waikiki Beach is just minutes away from the modern world, yet still grants travelers an oasis-like retreat. Waikiki Beach, a major source of tourism for the island, boasts several beachfront hotels with towers soaring high above the palm trees.

Waikiki Beach is also home to "Sunset on the Beach," a weekend event during which family movies are displayed on a 30-foot screen on the beach for all to enjoy for free. The event also boasts a free live music performance before the movie.

When tourists and residents aren't busy taking in the sun, they're touring the Waikiki Beach Walk. Consisting of approximately eight acres, the Waikiki Beach Walk is located slightly to the west of the beach and features local shops and dining experiences.
